I love #innovation, and I think this company has really pulled out all the stops when it comes to something great. #CrimePrevention💡 Imagine a machine that can smell everything and alert you when it detects a certain smell you are interested in. I give you SmellCells 👌 Their device simply smells the air and can alert you to drugs, explosives, humans, covid... whatever you ask it to look for. As #Ireland is an island, most of our illegal drugs come in through our ports. Imagine if every container was "smelled" - taking only 20 seconds, and officials would be instantly informed if there are illegal drugs hidden in the container. The device knows the container dimensions so evasive voids would also be detected. This so makes sense when illegal drugs and human trafficking are such massive issues. Drugs are ruining our society, and a massive driver for all other crime types. I was very fortunate to get a presentation from Dr. Ratnesh Thapliyal and his team recently. This technology is a game changer and should be in every Irish port and airport.
